Cleatus Lay - Class of 1984

Cleatus E. Lay, age 56 of Knoxville, passed away suddenly Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at University of Tennessee Medical Center following eight months of illness. Cleatus was a graduate of Rule High School and a former employee of Del-Air Mechanical. He had many talents for all things mechanical (HVAC or Auto). He enjoyed Darts, Cars, Tennessee Footbal and all competitive sports. Cleatus made a lifelong friend of everyone he met. He will be missed by many who depended upon his talents and generous heart. Cleatus was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ruth Lay, siblings Condon Radford, Alvin Ault, Patricia Lay, Jeannie Lay, Johnnie Bentley and Ann Varner. He is survived by his sister, Connie Radford; brothers, Eddie (Judy) Radford, Mike Ault and sister in law, Pat Radford.
