DEXTER, HAROLD - age 64, of South Knoxville, passed away on February 13, 2014, at UT Medical Center. Born in Knoxville, on December 2, 1949, he graduated from Rule High School and entered the US Marine Corps. He then began his career with the Knoxville Police Department and retired after 30 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Cora Dexter; brothers, Clyde Dexter, Jimmy Nichols, and Harry Dexter. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Dexter; daughters, Sonya Dexter and Christie Prouty; son, Sean Dexter; and granddaughter, Chynna Turner. He also leaves his sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Walter Aguilar; brother, Darrell Dexter; sisters-in-law, Linda Witt and Lois Dexter; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Witt; nephews, Peter and Eric Aguilar; and other nieces and nephews out of state. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice . A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
